GET SCHOOLED: Acrylic Painting with Nicholas Waguespack — Color Theory
In this three-hour workshop, students explore color theory through acrylic painting. Starting from three primary colors, they mix their own color wheel and see how color relationships shape a painting's mood and impact.
Students then work through a series of postcard-sized studies built on simple geometric forms — each exploring a different concept: analogous and complementary colors, hue, tint, shade, and saturation. Small studies mean room to experiment without the pressure of one finished painting — and students leave more confident mixing, observing, and choosing color with intention.
Everything's provided — paint, brushes, canvas — or bring your own supplies.
